7 posture of Zhaobao Taichi
Course Description
Zhaobao Taichi was created by the ancestor Zhang Sanfeng on Wudang Mountain about 600 years ago. He got inspiration by observing the struggle between a snake and a crane . Thus, he accomplished the Thirteen-Posture Wudang Taichi in the Prince Cave. This seven posture is from it.
Wudang Zhaobao Taichi has an hereditary Taoist origin and is the mother of Chinese Taichi. It has a profound influence on Chen-style, Yang-style and Wu-style Taichi of later generations. It interprets the principle of following the way of nature and achieving everything through inaction in the way of "playing with fists". It practices the principles of combining hardness and softness, being light and lively, and being centered everywhere.
This Taichi embodies the principle of yin and yang and interprets the concept of the unity of heaven and human in the universe. It can not only cultivate the mind and temperament in a secluded way but also is rich in offensive and defensive combat skills and the essence of kungfu with a strong Taoism way. Practicing it for 30 minutes each in the morning and evening every day will make you feel refreshed and healthy both physically and mentally.
